Below are some key Adwords tips off the top of my head. You may not be able to implement all these tips if an affiliate, but the more you can the better.
• Rather than put all keywords in one larger ad group, break them down into smaller, closely related groups.
• When writing ads, focus on the main keywords in the ad group, including them in the headline and body of your ads.
• At least, split test your Adwords ads. For even better results, I'm biased toward Adwords Maximizer (available only to Silver Level Ebiz Mastermind Members) but highly recommend it.
• By default ads are shown on search results and content network, with the same bid amount. Set up separate campaigns for search results and content network (not just separate ad groups), and bid and track separately for each. Tweak accordingly.
• Consider dayparting. In other words, use Google's scheduling feature to automatically adjust bids, or pause and resume campaigns based on the time-of-day or day-of-week. You'll likely find that certain times/days are more profitable than others.
• Test your keywords (obviously).
• Test your landing pages.
• Track Adwords conversions by ad, keyword, landing page, and search results vs. content network.
• Tweak based on the results of your testing and tracking. Keep and expand on what's working, and improve or drop what's not.
I guarantee these tips can improve Adwords results, by increasing CTR, decreasing average CPC, and improving ROI.
