Crazy Fluctuations In Conversion Rate & Shopping Cart

Hi,

I'm wondering if someone can help. I have a website whose conversion rate and shopping cart abandonment rate bounce wildly from day to day. Basically one day we could have a conversion rate of 3.4% and another day we could have a conversion rate 0.27%.

Our shopping cart abandonment rate is equally crazy. Basically, it can move from 30% - 80% in the same week.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
