Are you familiar with Robert Cialdini's 6 "Weapons of Influence"?
If not, you don't even realize how master persuaders use these proven psychological principals to try to influence you and other people to comply with their wishes. They can be used for good or for bad. When conscious of them you can see them used in an attempt to persuade you to think or act in a certain way, in everything from emails to web copy, product launches, and so on. 1) Reciprocation. 2) Commitment and Consistency. 3) Social Proof. 4) Liking. 5) Authority. 6) Scarcity. Any thoughts as to how these can be, or are being, used in online marketing? Marty Foley
