Here are some Google Search tips I've found handy, for finding things on a specific web site or on any site.

1) For example, when installing software you've bought from a company whose documentation is lacking, you may expect the information is *somewhere* on their site but you have no idea where. A Google search may reveal exactly what you're looking for.

Here's another example: To find all the pages of ProfitInfo.com listed in Google about "Internet marketing", just type the following (notice there are no spaces until after the domain name):

site:profitinfo.com Internet marketing

2) You can do something similar to find a specific type of file, such as a PDF, as the next example shows:

site:profitinfo.com filetype:pdf

3) To show every page of a site listed in Google, use the same command but without any keywords:

site:profitinfo.com

This can also be useful for finding web pages and other files on your site that you may NOT want to be listed.

You can have pages removed from Google through Google's Webmaster Tools, at: http://google.com/webmasters/tools/ .

Once logged in, go to Tools > Remove URLs and submit your removal request. You will have to update your robots.txt file accordingly, or otherwise make the content unavailable on the web.
