Quick tip for product launches: Consider doing a
beta or "soft" launch before the full launch.
Just like I'm doing with Ebiz Mastermind: Bronze
Level launched today, with Silver, Gold, Platinum
and Diamond launches to follow in succession.
Here's one good reason for this: Murphy's Law.
No matter how painstakingly you plan the launch
and try to prepare for it, there's no substitute
for putting your site and systems through their
paces, to work out any bugs that likely will
come up.
As an example, just after launch today I got
an email from multiple people letting me know
about a signup problem.
I was able to fix it quickly and will compensate
them for their help in a way they probably didn't
expect.
This glitch happened even though we'd tested the
signup process *dozens* of times before launch.
Problem was, there were some final tweaks and
after that we should have tested it at least
one more time :-(
If you have any tips or questions about product
launches, please post them.
