Here are the results of an "L16" multivariate test of an opt-in (also known as a NameSqueeze) page:
Out of 15 factors tested, those with the highest impact were:
1) 21%: A subhead just below the headline, which said:
<i>Sign up below and discover the real truths behind this response and profit-boosting breakthrough.</i>
2) 18%: Headline.
3) 15%: One of the several bullet points tested was the 3rd most influential factor on the page. Don't overlook the value of bullet points.
4) 12%: Pre-head (smaller text just above the headline).
